The Lord of Misrule was usually a peasant appointed to be in charge of Christmas festivities called the 'Feast Of Fools', which mainly included drinking a lot and wild parties. The image is of a hunting hare riding a dog which is depitcted in medieval floor tiles which represented the spirit of misrule.
