Thomas Browne was an English polymath and author. His writings blended rational inquiry with the esoteric, exploring alchemy and astrology amongst other subjects. His work influenced later occult and literary figures. The skull of Thomas Browne was stolen from his grave and displayed in a hospital museum before finally being reburied in 1922.
Ironically and eerily, In his works titled Urn Burial he mused: "Who knows the fate of his bones, or how often he is to be buried? [...]"
